If Kate had twins it would test my mental health

Prince William

Prince William has joked that he is glad that his wife is not having twins because his “mental health would be tested”. Speaking at an awards ceremony, the royal father-of-two said he was trying to get as much sleep as he can before the arrival of another baby. The Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth to their third Duke of Cambridgechild in April. The Duke of Cambridge gave out prizes to former rough sleepers at the Centrepoint Award, run by his mother’s favourite homeless charity. He met with supporters of the charity and told Raymond Stoner, boss of Anston Properties: “Our third child is due in April, I’m getting as much sleep as I can.” When Mr Stoner told him he could save time by having twins, the Duke responded: “Twins? I think my mental health would be tested with twins.” He told another supporter: “Two is fine I don’t know how I’m going to cope with three, I’m going to be permanently tired.” He also joked about his own lack of cookery skills, saying: “Me cooking is not an option trust me – I barely touch it myself.” He said in a speech at Kensington Palace where the event was held: “For me, tonight is one of sharply contrasting emotions. “Soon Centrepoint will be 50 years old. I feel immense pride in all Centrepoint has accomplished in that time, but with it, disappointment and frustration – frustration that in one of the most prosperous countries in the world homelessness is still putting the lives and futures of our young people at risk.” Meeting a group of young women who missed out on awards but were highly recommended, the Duke said: “Look at you girls – you look amazing. “You’re smiling, you’re the role models now.  You’ve had difficulties and you’ve come through them. You’re the role models for the next generation.”
