Prince Harry and The Countess of Wessex attended ICAP’s 24th annual Charity Day in support of charities they are affiliated with. The annual fundraising event sees ICAP donate all revenues and commissions on one day a year to a select group of charities around the world to provide them with a sizeable contribution to fund much-needed projects and initiatives. Among the charity beneficiaries, ICAP will make a donation to Sentebale, a charity of which Prince Harry is Patron. The funds raised from ICAP’s Charity Day will go towards continuing Sentebale’s efforts to deliver psychosocial support to children and adolescents living with HIV in Southern Africa. The Countess of Wessex attended the event in support of Shooting Star Chase Children’s hospice charity. Donations received from the day will be used to fund the refurbishment of St Christopher’s Hospice in Surrey. Since its inception in 1993, ICAP’s Charity Day has raised nearly £127 million for charities around the world, with over 60 ICAP offices worldwide taking part on an annual basis. Their Royal Highnesses were given a tour of the ICAP offices and met ICAP brokers dealing across a range of asset classes. Under the guidance of the brokers, Prince Harry and The Countess spoke to a number of ICAP clients to ‘close’ deals over the telephone.
